From time to time we plan and operate our own small group tours. Not only are they fun but we have found long lasting friendships forming and an expectation of ‘where next’? And our pre-tours get-togethers are great, adding to the excitement and expectation and you get to know your fellow travellers before you arrive in a new place.
These are a couple of ideas which if sufficient interest is registered, we would plan and operate. If you find the idea of one – or more – of our ideas appealing, please let us know.
The flavour of the year destination. Will do a tour around Iceland visiting all the regular tourist routes but have some local experiences arranged on the recommendation of a lovely Icelandic student we met last year whilst she was studying tourism at the Sunshine Coast University. Her family own a small family hotel up in the north Iceland. Dependant on time available, might add a little touring around in Norway.
This remains my favourite destination – so much history and the sights are absolutely mind boggling. And cruising down the Nile – felt like I had been transported back thousands of years. Yes, Egypt has has troubles in recent years but despite this, companies have continued to operate tours for Australians through all the troubles. Whilst one can never guarantee safety in Egypt, it would be a pity in this one lifetime we have not to have visited this land of ancient civilizations.
